Thread: Help please...

have an Archos AV400 Video Recorder/Player. I've been trying to get music videos and such from the net on there...

The problem is that it only supports .avi and mpeg4 formats. So, of course, I tried a converter... Nothing. It doesn't read once I get it on the av400.

Also, some .avi files show and others are just audio.

Anyone have any clue why or how I can fix it.

P.S.: FOR CHRIST'S SAKE... If someone has the Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc. music video in .avi or mpeg4 format, please send it to me. I beg of you...

The Archos is supported by the 'PocketDivXEncoder_0.3.50' program.

Try a search for it.

My son has an archos + u need to pay for a plug in for most of the functions to work. Be aware that once you convert your movies to an archos format THEY ARE AUTOMATICALLY COPY PROTECTED, That's Sony for you, and WILL ONLY PLAY ON YOUR OWN PERSONAL archos, if you attempt to play the file on anything else, you will get sound only!

This definitely works, but takes at least 90-120 minutes to convert a movie + it usually ends up being 150+Mb.
