as Libanass said about the video capturing, honestly what phone could beat a 5mp cam + video capturing at 30fps? it makes your mobile a lot more fun to use. Yes there is the drawback of not having a touch sensitive screen but apparently if its extremely cold outside like it gets here in Canada it doesnt respond very well or at time even at all. I am proud to be an owner of my N95 8gb and would recommend it to anyone who isnt all about esthetics's.

I don't own an 8GB N95, I have the original N95. Though they're not any different as far as OS is concerned, so I figure I can put in my say.

I've used two iphones and while they look cool and the screen is nice and big and clear, it's not that great to use. I think it's menu is fairly tacky looking. It looks nice at first, but after a week of using one, it soon wore thin. Kinda like Vista. It looks shiney, but it soon appears tacky after you get used to it.
I think it's messaging was pretty cool, how it shows all the past messages. Nokia Lifeblog does that, but not in the actual reply window. So I quite liked that feature on the iphone. As for writing a message though, I literally spent a minute just trying to type "Magic carpet!". The keypad is -way- too small, and it doesn't come with a stylus. People raved about it's multi-touch feature with typing, but I couldn't even type with one finger xD So that's kinda pointless.
It doesn't do much for me music-wise. I hate itunes so that offers no benefit to me. I'm quite happy using Winamp and just using Nokia Music Manager for transferring music to my phone.

When it comes to the N95... I could sing it's praises for hours and hours on end. A friend of mine asked me why I spend so much time on my phone. I started explaining everything it does and kept on for literally an hour with all it's features, how adapatable it is and how impressed I am by it. He went and bought one the next week.

Maybe I should be a phone salesman instead of a house salesman

I agree that the n95 8gb is better, a lot better than the i phone. There are a lot of limitations with the I-phone. On the other hand, its the question of what can't it do?

A message of concern though...to all users of n95-8gb, please observe your camera lens. Camera lens are usually what opticians would call multi-coated lens which stops glare and reflections. But there are substandard multi-coated lens wherein you'll see that the lens itself, tends to lose its coatings, resulting to glared photos. You'll notice it as scratches on the lens, even if you could swear that you've taken all the care for you phone. And the scratches spread over time.

I just bought mine last month and noticed it just yesterday. I notified customer care about it and told me that they will replace the lenses. I'll let you know about the outcome. I'll repost this again.

I have the N95 8gig and its a great smart device. As far as cost is concerning, well in the UK, the Nokia wins again. You can get some great tariffs with most Network providers and the handset free. You have to pay for the iphone about £270.00 and can only choose from 3 tariffs. Save your money get the N95 free and buy the cheaper ipod.

i-phone:
Better looking.
More user-friendly.
Easy typing with the QWERTY keyboard.
Only 2MP camera.
Can use only Apple head-phones.
No GPS.

N95 8gb:
Amazing camera (5MP).
Can use any ordinary head-phones.
GPS.
Much more features.

I have an N95 8gb and I feel its much better than an i-phone.

I have been using my N95 Regular for quite a while now, but had to buy an iphone just to see which phone is the best. I would say it is very emberrassing comparing almighty NOKIA N95 with all it's goodies to an iphone that offers only touch screen. iphone stands no chance near N95, Iphone has nothing to offer, apple need to go back to the drawing table and try design a phone as good as Nokia 3310
