Thread: Windows Vista Delayed!!!

Microsoft has announced that its forthcoming Windows Vista operating system, the replacement for Windows XP, will not now reach shops until the beginning of 2007. Vista was previously set for release this year.

The delay in the schedule is no more than a few weeks, according to Microsoft, but it will mean that new PC systems pre-loaded with the software will not come out in time for the lucrative “holiday” period (Thanksgiving and Christmas). Which should make PC manufacturers really happy – after all, who’s going to buy a PC in December when they know that waiting a month will ensure they get one packing a brand new operating system that has taken the world’s biggest software company years to develop and perfect?

Vista has been optimised for widescreen displays, will boast a huge number of new features and include updated versions of Windows Media Player, Media Centre and Internet Explorer. You can get the full lowdown from the official website

OMG!!!!! I was planning to buy it July 2007!!!! I had already booked my order!!!

It's typical Microsoft... Need I say any more...

The only thing of theirs that did make it out on time was the Xbox 360... I bet they are looking at the competition now they wish they spend a little more time designing it...

although they are probably happy that they won't lose theier market share till later in the year when PS3 is released...
