    Install Easy Debian, Easy Chroot and LZMA, than start Deb Img Install icon which will download compressed image file (approx. 300 MB) and unpacked it (approx. 2 GB). Then start icon Easy Debian to start it.

    You will have to be connected to Internet (Wifi is required but just in order to install the full release) and at least the Devel Repository updated, to install Easy Debian.

    Easy Debian can be found in the Application Manager.
    Many Icons will be installed but don't worry, each icon does its Job.
    Once Installed, You will have to download the Image of easy debian, wich is over 300MB, as said Kolos.
    But if you Don't have Internet on your phone, you can still download the image on your computer and transfer it to your phone, on the MyDocs folder (Root of the N900)

    Download the Image from the official site: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    After transferring it to your Mobile, just click on the Debian LXDE icon in the Menu and follow the instructions.

    Warning: The file will be extracted on your phone. This will take a lot of time and could make your device unresponsive so be patient, to improve this step you can uncompress the Image on your computer and then copy the ext2 file to MyDocs using the usb mass storage mode

    An Ideal tool to uncompress the image file is 7-Zip, wich you can find here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    NEXT RELEASE: HOW TO RUN UBUNTU UNDER EASY DEBIAN. For Brave Hearts Only! !loool!

    By the way, Thanks to Kolos for this Thread! Rep++ Added!!!
    And also juandp77 from Talk.maemo.org for the tutorial

    Maybe the downside is that some applications are a little slow (OpenOffice, Gimp). For anyone who is going to use OpenOffice for major office application I recommend to install also [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] which enables you to associate file types (doc, pps, odt...) with it. Association enables you to open files directly from file manager or from email attachments.

    @boemien
    It would be great to see Ubuntu installation guide. Because I'm using titan's kernel v45, I'm interested for guide with implemented u-boot to avoid constant kernel's reflashing.

    Yeah I'm testing ubuntu running easy debian. I Followed a tuto on talk.maemo.org
    Once the application will be perfect and easy to use, i will post a tuto here. The ubuntu system is not directly implemented on the N900. It runs simply as a normal application.
