1. Play visual mind games to connect “to-do lists” together. String separate events together by connecting items in a logical chain of thought.

2. Exercise your eyes: Rolling your eyes side-to-side for 30 seconds can get the two sides of your brain communicating; something that is important for memory retrieval.

3. Breathe easy: 10 minutes of meditation daily can help your focus. And paying attention is the first step to remembering!

4. Challenge yourself mentally: learn a new language, dance, cooking method. New connections in your brain will make older ones more efficient.

5. Sleep!

6. Take a second glance. Researchers have found evidence that this will increase your memory of that fleeting, “important thing.”

7. Mix up your routine: Brushing your teeth with the other hand, or just taking different routes to work will help stimulate neuron growth.

8. Exercise! It can help reduce the normal memory loss associated with aging.

9. Play Mah-Jongg! A game in which you must visually match tiles as quickly as possible.

10. Smell! Having a distinct smell around while studying or memorizing and having that smell present when you sleep can enhance all that hard work!
