What do you guys do to keep yourelf in check, I used to work out a load but the last couple of years I've been running distance. At press I regularly run 10 k's and average about 40 mins

I still get to the gym but only once maybe twice a week, Also do a bit of boxing and mountain biking

How about you guys???

Sorry, didn't notice your thread.

I like to ride my Mountain Bike for excercise, Offroad preferably. I like to do a minimum of around 15 miles when I go out, but always try for around 20.

I attached a picture of my bike for those in the know, only thing that has changed are the pedals, it now has Egg-Beaters on (for clip shoes) not flat pedals.

Hell yeah mate, sweet bike,

I've a claud butler, I should really replace it but tbh I thrash the arse off it that much I'm just waiting for it to die and it just keeps going. It's only got disk on the back and the front clogs up and nearly sends me over ha ha

If you live in the u.k. you may of heard of a great place called dalby forest, I love taking the bike there, theres a 23 miler or a fantastic 6 miler, hard as fook takes about an hour but really enjoyable. My mate once came tear arsing down a hill onto some jumps, came too fast and over shot..... result= 2 broken elbows, 3 ribs and a gammy leg, 6 weeks off work. I've had a few falls myself, usually on corners with tree roots sticking up lol

Black route (6miles)

I'm quite lucky as I live in the Midlands. Lots of wood-land around for me to thrash about in. My personal favourite though is Sherwood Pines, its close to Center Parks in Sherwood Forest. I've attached some links below, check them out :

Obviously because it woodland it's also possible to just disappear of the stone tracks into woodland. Man I've had a few hair-raising moments, low tree branches, sharp corners & as you said, old faithful tree roots.

Never heard of Dalby Forest before, but I've checked out your link and think I maybe paying it a visit very soon

I took the family up to the lakes a few weeks back and visited a a place called grizdale forest, I didn't have the bike but dude they had what looked like one hell of a bike trail, it was sponsered by north face

It's run by forest enterprise, the same as dalby and urs so they wll have put loads of work into it.

Fantastic place sherwood forest, I've been there a few times ....... ya lucky sod....... with a better bike than me lmao

This thread is making me itching to get out, I'm going to have a pop on some military land near me tonight now lol
