Apologies if this is in the wrong folder...
Any of you into Flash Lite development may already know about this, but if not, it looks well worth checking out: [Only Registered users can see links . Click Here To Register...]. It seems to be an equivalent to Zinc for bringing Flash Lite to the Symbian desktop with access to system properties and functions otherwise denied to Flash. I am going to try and use it to step outside the Flash sandbox and make a decent FLV player that supports local and streamed FLVs, and because I'm too lazy to wrap my head around J2ME after 5 years break using it for production. The Accelerometer plug-in would also be fun to use in a load of interactive animation/gaming things... Last edited by flynn; 02-08-2008 at 12:25 PM. |

p.s.
To get it working you will obviously need for making your apps; Flash CS3, device central with profile for FlashLite 3 (*EDIT* it seems much happier making FlashLite 2.1 apps work), or a very hardcore equivalent setup in Eclipse. For Kuneri you will also need J2SE 1.4.2+ runtime environment, ActivePerl 5.8.X and S60 3rd SDK MR (I will try it with S60 3rd FP1 SDK - *EDIT* It works, but it's tricky to install, follow the special instructions very carefully).
