Default N95 Screen Flicker

Hi,

I got myself an N95 8GB, and I got to say, how great the phone is. I had the N73 and this is such an improvement. I know I can't do a direct comparison between the two, but going by they both run the same S60 v3, N95 8GB is much better in every way.

I do have one slight issue though, I seem to have this slight screen flicker when the phone is on screen saver mode and it backlight is on, i.e. if you press the power button whilst the screen saver is on, the backlight should come on allowing you to see the time, this is where I get the slight flicker, only on the time bar though. Does anyone here have that issue?

Also, I wouldn't say the slider mechanism is brilliant, feels a bit loose in my honest opinion.

I agree, it's happening to my n95-1 too. Whenever i take it out of stand-by, the screen kinda flickers the light a bit. Not noticeable unless you're really paying attention. Oh, and the slider mechanism... It's a problem all n95's have. I saw a mod/fix for it a while ago... I'll search for the website and see if i find it for you. I tried it and the slider mechanism is behaving a lot better now.

EDIT: hehe, i had it bookmarked :P here it is [Only Registered users can see links . Click Here To Register...]. Oh, and bare in mind that i don't recommend doing it unless you've had some experience with tinkering gadgets.

I sometimes get flickering too - I wondered if it might be the light sensor in some light conditions where it can't find the right balance and flickers the backlight. Sometimes it's more noticeable than others.

i agree with enigma-uk, i guess that might be cause by the light condition, i just remember that the N95 had a light sensor.
