Thread: Sony Ericsson Satio Discontinued

I was planning to get the Satio as my next upgrade. I used it in a shop and I was satisfied with the response of the screen (landscape keyboard I didn't like but minor for me). It was the camera with xenon flash that mainly caught my interest.

When I called up Vodafone, they tell me they've discontinued that model since the beginning of this week

I am at a loss on what handset to get now. I really just want something with a good camera (ideally with xenon flash as I tend to become a happy snapper when in a club drunk) and a nice screen that can do some light web browsing (facebook, wiki, etc).

Vodafone recommended the N900 but that's way too big for my liking and I'm not completely convinced on the N97 mini. I'm considering getting the N900, selling it on ebay, and buying a Satio although with all the faults, it might be risky. Can anyone recommend anything?

well contract free the satio costs 400-500 bucks. Free on contract...

Misleading thread title, satio is not discontinued, vodafone just stopped suppling thats all

vodafone stopped supplying (other operators too possibly); and if I'm not mistaken, Phones4u and Carphone Warehouse took it off the shelves.

Pain in the ass cause that's the only phone out there that I like at the moment and I don't see that changing in the near future.

Might be forced to take the N900 and sell it on ebay route. Not my preferred choice though.
