guys i have taken a new phone,iphone 3gs but unfortunately i have taken it on os 3.0.1 i didnt get it jailbreak but it was unlocked my phone was not yet registered to apple so i had consulted the person from where i've taken but he said me to wait i couldnt wait and upgraded it to 3.1
(damed) now i have to wait till that 3.1 jailbreak release.. so guys and gals if u have any solution regaurding it plz help me out.. im trying to an extent its a brand new phone where i had to keep it aside till this jailbreak releases

How to Downgrade iPhone 3GS 3.1 to 3.0 OS
First Of All U Need To Configure Your Host File In Your Pc
& U Need To Download These Softwares That We r Using In This Hole Procedure Go To Google And Put The Name Of Software And Download
If you are on Windows Vista or Windows 7 you will need to run Notepad as Administrator and then locate the hosts file and edit it. Then move on to step 4.
1. Press Windows + R on your keyboard or go to Run.

2. Type in the following: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts.
Select Notepad for iPhone 3GS hosts file
3. Click OK. You should now get an Open With window. Click on Notepad and then click OK.

4. Your hosts file will now open in Notepad. Make a new line below 127.0.0.1 localhost and copy and paste in the following:
74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com
5. Click File – > Save in Notepad. Where it says “Save as type” make sure you select All Files and then click Save.
6. Download iPhone 3GS 3.0 (iPhone2,1_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw) and save it to your desktop. If you haven’t already, download iTunes 9 and install it.
7. You must now put your iPhone 3GS in Recovery mode. Connect your iPhone 3GS to your PC. Hold down the top iPhone 3GS button and the bottom home button for 10 seconds, let go of the top button but continue holding the bottom home button until iTunes displays the following message: “iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone 3GS before it can be used with iTunes.” Your iPhone 3GS screen should be black.
1. Start your iTunes 8.2 & Connect your iPhone 3GS to computer via USB
2. Switch of your iPhone and put it in DFU mode with following instructions
- Click the Home + Power On button for 10 seconds exactly
- Release the power button and continue to click on Home
3. Following message will be displayed in iTunes 8.2. Click on “OK”
4. Now Press ALT or Shift key on keyboard and click on Restore button on iTunes
5. Locate & Select the original iPhone 3GS 3.0 firmware
6. A Confirmation message will be displayer. Click on Restore
7. A Restore Process will start. At the end of restore process following error message “Unknown error occurred (1015)” will be displayed.
8. Do not panic with above error message. You just need to ignore above error message and click on OK button
9. Download iRecovery for Mac and iRecovery for Windows
10. Extract connect of iRecovery on Desktop
11. Go to terminal on Mac and on Command prompt on Windows and type following command
cd Desktop
iRecovery -s
12. Once you see a Message entering in Recovery Mode, Starting command prompt on screen type following command
Fsboot
13 Once the iPhone 3GS has been restarted, you see the “Emergency calls only” and You need to reactivate tour iPhone 3GS via iTunes
14. Either you can restore a backup or configure your iPhone 3GS as new phone and you are back to iPhone 3G 3.0 Firmware.
15. Once redsn0w 0.8 launches, click the Browse button.

16. Select the firmware ipsw (that you placed in the Pwnage folder on our desktop) and then click Open.

17. Once the firmware has been verified, click the Next button in order to continue.

18. Make sure the 'Install Cydia' check box is selected and click the Next button.

19. Make sure that your iPhone is plugged into the computer, and it's switched OFF. Now click on the Next button.

20. redsn0w will now guide you through the steps to get into DFU mode.

Hold down both the Home button and the Power button for 10 seconds.

Now, Release the Power button and continue holding the Home button until redsn0w detects the device.

21. You will see a message that states that your iPhone is being jailbroken. Your iPhone will then reboot.

22. redsn0w will begin uploading the new RAM Disk.

Once this activity is completed you will be see the message 'Done!', which means that your iPhone 3G has been jailbroken.
23. Click the Finish button.
And when your iPhone finishes rebooting (approx. 5 minutes). It will be jailbroken with Cydia available on your iPhone's home screen so that you can install jailbreak apps.

* Redsn0w does not jailbreak iPhone 3GS as of now. We will let you know if Dev Team releases an updated version of Redsn0w which jailbreaks iPhone 3GS.
* Please note that this guide only jailbreaks iPhone 3G running iPhone OS 3.0, you will need to install UltraSn0w via Cydia to unlock iPhone 3G. You can checkout our step-by-step guide to unlock iPhone 3G using UltraSn0w.
* Please use Firefox to download the firmware file as IE seems to automatically extract the file (thanks carny for the tip).

This seems like a very good tutorial, but i feel anything could go wrong and I have no idea what to do if something does go wrong.
