Is it free to use the garmin gps? Like is it using the internet connection or just satellites? I dont want to pay for any data plans or anything

It's not necessary for the app, but if you need a big map ad ex the whole europe ,you'll need it and the size depends of the map you want to install

Can someone please advise on how to remove unwanted maps from a .img file? I have the entire europe file and it's 1.2gb, so it takes up alot of space on my 8gb memory card. I just want the UK maps, if it's possible.
