    Hello, i have a nokia 5800 and was able to install the program on it.

    But i have a problem: i can't enable the phone's GPS to work with Mobile XT. I get the error "Connection allowed to Garmin GPS devices only".

    In other words: i have the software installed but it doesn't recognize the phone's GPS.

    Of course i haven't still installed any map.

    So the question is: how to make work the phone's GPS with this program?

    Regards.

    Hello again. First problem solved: GMXT already detected integrated GPS.

    1) Take note of the id card number that appears in config--->about---> id card.

    2) go to jet keygen and use that id card to generate a code.

    3) Create a file named sw.unl and paste the code into it.

    4) Put the file in garmin directory of the 5800 card.

    5) Choose integrated gps to use with GMXT.

    Now...i will try to install CN2012...

    Default Unlocking GMXT

    @fantenpaiger
    Software is still locked. Do this:
    * Open MobileXT>Tools> Settings> About. Make a note of CARD ID. This is your UNIT ID. Exit GMXT.
    * Open Keygen (available here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]), and enter your "UNIT ID" (select MobileXT)
    * Hit the first generate button to generate device unlock code, then copy it.
    * Open Notepad & paste in the unlock code. Then save as sw.unl using "Save as Type">"All Files (*.*)" Caution - NOT "*.txt". Select Encoding "ANSI" if not default.
    * Put sw.unl file in your card's Garmin folder and restart XT which should now recognize your inbuilt GPS.
    Still confused? go here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] before you post again.

    Edit: Sorry, didn't notice you had answered your own question, anyway this is a bit more detailed for anyone else to follow. BTW best not to make consequtive posts, just edit your first one

    Yes, you are right. Thanks for the link.

    Yesterday i tried to install entire cn2012 in the phone. I thought i did every steps ok, but the map didn't work.

    Thanks to the link you provided me i already know that maps greater than 2gb can not be readed by the phone.

    So i sent a little part of cn2012 to the phone and worked ok.

    Regards.

    Default Naming & Splitting/Joining Maps for GMXT

    @fantenpaiger
    That's good, if you know how to split maps using MapSource etc then you would also know how to combine them joining smaller ones together up to the 2gb limit. You can then have up to 3 image files for detail maps (gmapprom.img; gmapsupp.img; gmapsup2.img) giving you up to 6gb in total if you've got the card space. Caty's generic naming tutorial [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] works fine with XT except i don't think the trick in 5) will work, at least not for me when i've tried it. Have fun messing around with it! BTW you mention cn2012, i assume you're referring to the full EU map 2012.20 which is over 2.2gb, so this post 31 may save you some work: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
