Does anyone have the original locked Mapsource (DVD/gmap) version?

I am looking for the original (i.e. unmodified) locked Mapsource (DVD/gmap) version. I think there should be one. Or should I read your post as 'Garmin now sells the DVD/gmap version unlocked'?

I know Garmin sells some DVD containing unlocked gmap, for example:

so I guess this DVD is unlocked too,if the written above words have a sense, but just the thread starter can confirm it

No, it means simply:
there are all files from original DVD, but gmap folder has been unlocked with MapSource unlocker. I have also locked version, but I can't upload at the moment, because I only have internet over gsm. When I'm back home in a few weeks, I can upload the original locked version.
But what disturbs you on unlocked version? It's working good for many people and nobody wrote something about problems yet.

I agree that the unlocked version is probably working fine (at least at the moment). However, I think we simply don't know what Garmin is going to change in future firmware and/or software revisions. Therefore I like to have the original locked version (as a backup, just in case a new unlocking method will be necessary for future Garmin firmware and/or software revisions).
