Ok well if you have a P4 they get VERY hot (90-100oC+) and they cant be overclocked much unless you have a good cooling solution. They can only be FSB overclockd, that is raising the FSB more than the standard 533/800mhz as Intel has multiplier locked its CPU for years. Being in a hot country like Pak is not going to help either unless you have A/C on.
It also depends on whether you have a Northwood or Willamette CPU, I think one is better than the other due to the smaller die manufature process. You will have to have good overclockable RAM too - pref PC3200+ as raising the FSB and having lower clocked RAM is not going to work! Anyways [Only Registered users can see links . Click Here To Register...] some one overclocked to 7Ghz! Thou it only worked in the BIOS screen. If you do a google you should find info on how to overclock your P4. |
