Absolutely fabulous, delightful, adorable, one of the best books I've read in a long time. This is a six-star book with a very original story filled with adventure, romance, humor, and really, really great characters, especially the loser/geek kids. At first I was disappointed since the beginning seemed so contrived but once the human world and the fantasy world started to interact, the story took off like a rocket to the moon. And amidst all the engrossing, entertaining, page-turning, the story manages to make some interesting points about love, family, heroism, sacrifice, and being true to yourself even when at odds with the rest of the world. Did I happen to mention that I really, really loved this book? I might re-write this review at a later date when I come up with more superlatives.
