Default First car - Australian

I'm looking to get my first car. What would you recommend thats cheap to run and looks nice. I like the look of the ford probe, 4 door lancers, the mitsubishi galant and cars like that. I'm looking to buy privately too, but I hear this can be risky. Any advice would be appriciated. Thanks

Buying Privately is Risky and if your not a Mechanic you could end up throwing your money down the Toilet...

Buying a New Car is not a good Idea either they are too expensive and can be problematic sometimes...

The best option is to find a respectable Used car dealer, Maybe one that specialises in the type of car you are looking to buy...

Here are your options...

Reliablity & cheap: Japanese/Asian Cars

Recommended:
Nissan & Honda

Comfort: European cars

Recommended:
BMW, Pergeout, Renault

European Cars feel heavier than their Japanese counterparts and need more maintenance but generally give a smoother ride

The choice is yours though and of course you have to find the best price for the car you want...

My number one tip is spend at least 6 months looking before you buy anything...
