Bugatti are owned by Volkswagon not Lamborghini.

The car has twin V8 engines (making it a W16), 1000bhp, 4 turbos (each V8 is a twin turbo) and it is capable of speeds in excess of 250mph.

Volkswagon built the car to prove the point that it could be done.

Apparently if you raced the Bugatti Veyron with a McLaren F1 the Mclaren could reach 120mph before the Veyron even started but the Veyron would still beat the McLaren to 200mph. NOW HOWS THAT FOR PERFORMANCE.

According to Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear, Volkswagen's cost per Veyron is approximately £5 million but each car sells for £757,359 (ie VW would lose £4.25 million on each Veyron sold).
