Article states price in USA in US Dollars. $49.99 is the price of Current Gen (Gamecube, Xbox, PS2) software in that region which means we can assume a price point of about £35-£40 for Wii software, the price of Current Gen software in the UK.

Play.com must only be guessing at price and release date (25/12/2006 Nintendo have already stated that the Wii will launch around November if not earlier) as nothing 100% offical has been announced yet.

The above statement was made by Saturo Iwata (President of Nintendo Corp.) though and i'll take his word over Play.com any day
