So you’ve read and heard about what the amazing motion-sensitive Wii controller can do. But what about getting to grips with more traditional games – such as the gazillions of old arcade classics that’ll be available?

Well, if you think you’re going to have trouble, er, controlling your Wii in these situations, think again – Nintendo is also releasing a joypad-style controller.

Apparently simply called the “Classic”, this pad is vaguely reminiscent of the SNES controller of yesteryear, except that it has a pair of analogue sticks and two extra shoulder buttons. We’re suckers for the old school, and we like it a lot.
