Smile Nokia N82 - Released today

Nokia introduces officially the Nokia N82 smartphone optimized for photography, navigation and internet connectivity.

Features of the Nokia N82 include 2.4 inch QVGA screen, A-GPS, 5MP Camera, Xeon flash, Carl Zeiss Optics, Wi-Fi and digital music player.

The design of the Nokia N82 is not really breath taking. The feature set is great, but overall the phone is not very sexy.

Measurements of the Nokia N82 are 112x50.2x17.3mm and the weight is 114g.

The Nokia runs S60 OS with S60 3rd edition feature Pack 1 user interface and supports WCDMA2100 (HSDPA), EGSM900, GSM850/1800/1900 MHz (EGPRS) networks.

The Nokia N82 is available now in key markets with an estimated, pre-tax, unsubsidized sales price of approximately 450 euros (~$660).

Other Info:

Not only is it the most anticipated camera phone ever to come out of Nokia, it’s also protected by a sieve-like cloak of secrecy, with more leaks than my leaky roof! If we needed any more confirmation that tomorrow is indeed the day the N82 will be revealed, the premature release of pics on the official Nokia website is surely it.

Today will see a global webcast where someone from Nokia will stand up in front of the world to tell us most of what we already know. Nokia’s new king of cameras, the N82, will be bursting on to the streets sometime soon. Of course, we don’t know when we’ll see the N82, but with the recent release of the N81 and the N95 8GB, it’s unlikely to be anytime this year. Our hunch is still on March/April time next year. If Nokia releases it any sooner, it could find itself with some properly peed off N81 owners. Of course, they’re very different propositions, but you know, it’s all about knowing what’s coming up.
These snaps are the first time we’ve got a proper look at the back of the N82 and it sure does look a treat. We’ll have to hold it in our hands before we can decide on the front, those keys look disturbingly small, something we’re familiar with from previous Noks. But, it’s too early to be making judgements so for now we’ll just have to drool. Enjoy!
